Marching band had a great showing at our final performance at the CSBC Division champs at Irvine High School!
This past Friday, we performed our competitive show and played pep tunes in the stands for HBHS football’s second CIF playoff game. We won! We will not be traveling to this week’s away football game in Simi Valley. If they win there would be another playoff game on Nov 24th, or 25th. Many of our students will be out of town, so we’ll do signups for a voluntary small pep band if we get to that point.
Marching Band will now be transitioning into Wind Ensemble for Sounds of the Seasons and getting ready for second semester. Our rehearsals will be getting shorter and for now we will be getting done when 6th period normally ends. Please know that we may need to extend rehearsals until 4 or 4:30 in the future!
We will have drumline and jazz band interest sheets up in the band room this week to gauge interest for second semester. Drumline will have a student information session this Wednesday at 3:30. Students that are interested in drumline are encouraged to attend! We will have audition packets passed out at the meeting. Drumline auditions will be 11/27.
We are hosting CSBC Grand Champs this coming Saturday! Please please please help volunteer! All student’s families are expected to donate at least 1 case (2 12-packs) of drinks for Saturday’s event. Please bring to M-1 by Thursday 11/16. Donations are by last name:
