Oiler Music Guild Updates

CSBC Finals (Champs) was a huge success thanks to you!!  JJ, our treasurer, is still working on figuring out our final totals, but it's looking like we brought in right around what we expected! Come to our next OMG Meeting to hear our totals. We couldn't have done this without so much help from our OMG community and beyond. Thank you, each and every one of you for your calling around, your donations, your perseverance, and your hard work!

OMG Meeting this Thursday!

Join us in person in M1 or on Zoom!

Join Zoom Meeting-Thursday, 12/5 @ 7pm https://cpp.zoom.us/j/82619953400

Meeting ID: 826 1995 3400 Passcode: Oilers1906

Lots of important updates will be discussed about this months events and what to expect in the Spring Semester.

This week kicks off our Holiday Season!

A few of our OMG Students will be participating in the Seal Beach Christmas Parade representing HBHS and APA! The parade starts at 7pm on Main St in Seal Beach. Come down and watch! It's a super fun event!

Then on Sunday, 12/8, our Band and Color Guard members will participate in our annual OMG Caroling Eve where we play holiday tunes and collect donations in our downtown neighborhoods. We will need some chaperones to walk with the groups and keep our kids safe.

Next week is Sounds of the Season! This is our first Main Stage show for APA Orchestra, so there is an APA SignUp to work the show, but we also have an OMG SignUp because there is some prep work that needs to happen and we like to spoil our Orchestra students! Please help in any way you can.

Additional Notes for Parents/Students-

- Welcome back from Fall break and Thanksgiving! We have a very busy two weeks ahead leading into our Fall semester Mainstage production of Sounds of the Season, but the ensembles are coming together excellently. We will continue our extended rehearsals this week, with our Piano students joining orchestra rehearsals for their collaborative pieces on Thursday, December 5th.

 - We are in search of parent volunteers to help out with several preparation and day-of roles with the concert production. Every bit of help goes an incredibly long way in making the evening happen!

 - Finally, a massive thank you to every parent and student who contributed at our hosting of CSBC championships. It was in incredible day of contribution, hard work, and community from every corner of the music program, and I’m incredibly blessed to have been there with you all!
