Oiler Music Guild Meeting this Wednesday,
9/25 at 7pm in the Band Room!
For the first time we will be offering a virtual option for our Guild Meeting!

Our Orchestra had their first Social event of the year this past Friday and they had a blast!

Our Marching Band and Color Guard Field Show is going to include some pretty amazing props this year and we need you to help build, paint, create the awesome field displays that our directors are envisioning! Are you creative or skilled at building things? If you're interested in learning more about our planning/building team, email Jennifer Stroh at omg.band.vp@gmail.com .

Looking ahead-
Our next OMG Guild meeting on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 7 pm in M-1. There will also an option to connect online!! Lots of important things coming up! In an effort to streamline the meeting, we will upload the meeting minutes from last month and the budget report on to the website for your review so we will not need to read them out during the meeting.
It will be here before we know it! We are in the midst of planning for the California State Band Championships, happening on November 23, 2024. We need these positions filled so the event will run as smoothly as possible. Please let Cielito know if you are able to help, hbomg.president@gmail.com.

The school year just started, but we're already thinking about next year's OMG Board! Being on the board is a great opportunity to get involved and help all these talented students. If you know someone who would be a good fit, or if you want to be more involved in nominations, please reach out to our Parliamentarian, Linda Farrow.
Revisions of the OMG Bylaws are in the works. The Executive Board will be making necessary changes to include new Directors and to make sections more clear and concise. The revised Bylaws will be sent to ALL members and voted on at one of our Guild meetings.

Additional Notes for Parents/Students-
-We held a wonderful back-to-school social with about half of the orchestra in attendance last Friday, and it was a great evening of socializing, games, and great food!
-We’ve got a regular week ahead, but several events are fast approaching. Student packets for Walk for the Arts should be returned to the APA Office ASAP!
